Role Purpose:
As an Associate or Senior Associate in ICG FX Sales & Execution, you will be a key support member of the Institutional and Corporate Financial Markets teams. This is a high impact development role offering broad exposure across institutional and corporate FX execution, supporting senior sales and execution specialists while building strong foundations in markets, client engagement, and disciplined execution.
You will work at the intersection of market knowledge, client service, and execution support—helping deliver accurate, responsive, and compliant FX solutions for clients. Over time, you will build confidence in market communication, deepen product expertise, and contribute meaningfully to client outcomes in a fast-paced Financial Markets environment.
The Team:
You will join the Institutional and Corporate Financial Markets teams, partnering closely with senior sales, execution specialists, traders, research, risk, operations, and platform teams. Together, the teams deliver best in class FX solutions to institutional investors (including super funds) and corporate clients with a wide range of dealing and hedging requirements.
The team operates with a strong client first and risk disciplined mindset, focused on delivering responsive service, high quality execution, and continuous improvement in how we support clients across markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with opportunity identification and pipeline hygiene, including tracking client activity, themes, upcoming maturities or needs, and engagement planning.
- Support senior sales with client coverage activities and contribute to building long term client relationships through excellent service, responsiveness, and thoughtful market and product engagement.
- Support coverage initiatives relating to clients, collaborating across product and platform partners to deliver a coordinated client offering.
- Support execution workflows across a wide range of ICG FX dealing needs (including spot, forwards, and swaps as applicable), ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing.
- Focus on simplification and seamless client experience by helping clients navigate the Westpac proprietary systems such as COL and Payments Plus.
- Partner with sales, traders, and execution specialists to deliver high quality client outcomes, including quote support, trade capture assistance, post trade follow up, and issue resolution.
- Maintain disciplined operational execution, supporting confirmations, handling client and internal queries, and escalating risks or issues promptly and appropriately.
- Help deliver “always on” client service through fast turnaround, clear communication, and strong attention to detail.
- Build a strong working knowledge of FX markets, key drivers, and risk considerations, translating market movements into clear, client relevant language.
- Assist in producing client ready materials, including market notes, flow and levels colour and trade ideas in line with business guidelines.
- Contribute to a strong risk culture by maintaining disciplined processes, escalating issues early and keeping client outcomes front of mind.
Outcomes: Becomes a trusted execution and sales support partner, known for responsiveness, accuracy, and calm under pressure.

Essential: Skills & Experience:
- FX experience in a market facing role (sales support, trading assistant, execution, client support, or operations with strong FX exposure).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain market concepts clearly and concisely.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Problem solving nature to solve and understand client's issues
- Proactive, team first mindset with a strong willingness to learn and partner across functions.
- Agile and results driven approach, with ownership mindset and follow through.
Preferred:
- A good understanding of Westpac FX systems
- Understanding of FX products and the trade lifecycle, including pretrade, execution, and post trade processes.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as finance, economics, commerce, mathematics, or similar.
